“Birds of My Country” Program
The program aims to provide comprehensive information about the bird species of the Qatari Peninsula to all interested audiences, while motivating and encouraging them to attract birds for feeding and breeding. Through this program, bird behaviors and movements can be monitored to support their protection, preserve their habitats, and enrich the country’s biodiversity. The program also organizes the “Bird of the Year” campaigns to raise awareness about Qatar’s native bird species.
Program Objectives:
- Spreading environmental awareness and introducing the local bird species.
Promoting values of bird care due to its importance in protecting and enriching the local natural environment.
Conducting field visits and surveys to identify and protect various bird habitats.
Collecting and documenting information about Qatar’s birds in a dedicated database.
Encouraging scientific research related to the birds of the Qatari Peninsula.
